Hola!
I made it to Madrid. After years of anticipation, a missed flight, and lost luggage I´m finally a temporary Spanish resident! I´ve discovered that my Spanish skills are not really up to par... I´m pretty much just speaking in English to make sure the people I talk to know I don´t know what´s going on! Hopefully I will get more comfortable with it though.
I´m currently hanging out in an internet cafe inside a Subway/Dunkin´Donuts... so this is very new and different for me! I also haven´t gotten to shower yet, and don´t have many clean clothes, so I kinda feel like I fit in!
Anyway, I´m excited to be here. If anyone has suggestions of things I ought to do before I leave Madrid in a few days, let me know.
Miss you all already!

AND I am so glad you made it - I was a little worried that you would miss your connection when you were still in L.R. when Emily got to the airport!

Hi Tinker! So glad you made it safely. Now I can sleep better. Tip from Mom: Always take your US cell phone with you! We miss you already too. Both Dogs and Cats are sleeping by the heater. I don't know what they are going to do when Megz leaves too. Have a great time. I am sure your suitcases will be there soon. If not, shopping will be all sorts of fun. Get some sleep.

I'm coming to see you in about 21 days!!! Update soon if you can... I want to hear all about Madrid and the other cities you visited on the way to Barcelona.. And you have to tell us about your family and neighborhood! I got my address for Florence yesterday.... I'm so excited. Love you-- megz
